A huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful Wellingtonians, businesses, community groups, families and individuals who generously supported Hospi’s Pyjama Appeal again this year. We’ve been inundated with thousands of fabulous flannelette pyjamas which has helped keep sick kids warm and well this winter. Many of the PJs have been distributed by our paediatric community nursing teams, who have been able to target families across our region where the need is greatest.
So many people got behind this year’s appeal and donated pyjamas, as well as money for Hospi to buy more when stocks run low in the coming months.
We were incredibly touched by many of your stories – children who asked their friends for PJs instead of birthday presents, boxes of pyjamas donated in memory of loved ones, workplaces and community groups who rallied co-workers, clients, friends and family to support the appeal, and many more.
