Did you know that 2850 patients are seen by the Wellington Regional Heart and Lung Unit a year! Many having angiograms for coronary stents, heart valves or other diagnostic procedures, and there are over 500 heart and lung operations performed every year. With your help we recently helped refurbish the unit’s patient lounge, installing a new 55” TV and a calming beach mural. Don’t forget to support this year’s sponsored Heart Walk on 2 November at 2pm, with a yummy healthy BBQ afterwards. All money raised will be used to buy a plumbed water cooler for the new lounge.
