In these last few weeks before Christmas we have received many beautiful cardigans, beanies, booties, blankets and quilts from many wonderful volunteer knitters and sewers. We are incredibly grateful to these talented folks who have gifted hours of their time to create warm items for our hospital’s smallest patients.
Some work on Christmas projects throughout the year, including Sue’s team from Busy Bee Quilters who make beautiful quilts, and Tawa Inner Wheel who craft gorgeous Christmas stockings.
Karen and Raewyn receive all these fabulous items and put them together into special Christmas packs for every baby in the hospital on Christmas morning!! Our sincere thanks and appreciation goes to all our volunteer knitters and sewers who have worked hard this year to make such a difference to the health and comfort of so many families around the Wellington region.
And a big virtual applause for The Johnsonville Knitting Group who have outdone themselves this year, setting a new annual personal best for beautiful wee items created and donated to our hospital
