Today, parents visiting their precious little ones in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were delighted to find them dressed in festive Christmas outfits and snuggled in Christmas themed blankets. Adding to the magic, the Foundation delivered stunning Santa stockings for each incubator, filled with thoughtful gifts including a quilt, cardigan, toy, singlet, booties, and beanies for every baby – made by our incredible volunteers.
These special stockings were also shared with new pēpē in the Delivery Suites and Maternity Wards at Wellington, Kenepuru and Hutt Hospitals.
We were also very pleased to be able to deliver handmade stockings to the Mental Health Unit for patients spending time in hospital this Christmas.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible individuals who sew, knit, and quilt these beautiful gifts. Your kindness brings joy and comfort to so many.
