Size: Newborn – 3 months
Materials: 1/3 x 50g balls of 4 ply 100% wool, 3 stitch holders, 3 buttons
Needles: 3.25mm
Cast on 42 (46) sts
Tip…Leave long end to use to sew up back seam.
KNIT first row.
Then
PURL 2 rows
KNIT 2 rows.
This forms a rib pattern.
Continue following this 4 row pattern till you have done 22 (26) rows.
Cast off 9 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
Continue following the 4 row pattern on remaining stitches till you have done 42 (46) rows from start.
Next row
Work 2 sts together across row.
Next row
Work 2 sts together across row.
Cast off.
Sew up by folding in half & sew together along top of foot from cast off row to one st into cast off 9 sts.
Sew up back seam.
