It was a pretty special morning at Te Wao Nui Child Health Service with the One NZ Warriors visiting as part of Jammies for June, handing out cosy PJs and bringing smiles to tamariki and their whānau.
For Zara’s family, it meant even more. After Zara was unexpectedly admitted the day before, plans to celebrate her brother Zaiden’s birthday didn’t quite go as hoped. But a day off school meeting the Warriors with his sister made it a day to remember!
This is exactly what Jammies for June is all about - bringing warmth, comfort, and small moments of joy during tough hospital stays.
