Last week tamariki and rangatahi at Te Wao Nui Children’s Hospital were treated to a fantastic Christmas visit from members of the Wellington District Police - including Badger, the very well behaved police pup!
This is the ninth year the Wellington District Police whānau have donated Christmas presents, and once again they arrived with an incredible number of gifts. Officers and staff from across the region contributed, including Police National Headquarters, Porirua and Kāpiti Stations, the Kāpiti Digital Centre, Wellington Central Station and Rugby House (Firearms Registry).
These visits and generous donations bring so much joy to children spending time in hospital over the Christmas period, and many of the gifts will also be shared by our paediatric community nursing team throughout the holiday season.
Meri Kirihimete to all the Wellington District Police whanau.
