The Wellington Rugby Football Union continue to be a wonderful supporters of Wellington Regional Children’s Hospital. We are excited to share with you the ways in which they are supporting us this year, and how you can get involved…
1. Guardians – Did you know, the Wellington Lions are official Guardians of Wellington Children’s Hospital? In fact, they have been supporters of the Children’s Hospital since 2005!
2. Visits to Wellington Children’s Hospital – The Wellington Lions team have seven scheduled visits to Wellington Children’s Hospital during their 2018/19 season. During these visits the players put a spark into our young patients, and kindly hand out some free game tickets and merchandise. Keep an eye on our Facebook to see photos from these visits.
3. Charity Partnership – You may have heard on the radio that the Wellington Rugby Football Union are building a house which will be auctioned with proceeds supporting Junior Rugby and Wellington Children’s Hospital. This is a very generous and exciting project. Watch this space for further details as the project progresses.
4. Village Goldsmith – Wellington Children’s Hospital supporters The Village Goldsmith, have once again partnered with the Wellington Lions to create a special Sterling Silver Rugby Ball Pendant. The pendants are being promoted through a series of competitions which you can enter here. They can also be purchase through the Village Goldsmith, with $25 from each pendant being donated to Wellington Children’s Hospital.
