Wow – we are almost at the closed-in stage of your New Children’s Hospital. Work has also started on some of the interior framing which is very exciting. Did you know that as well as the Paediatric Surgical and Medical Wards, the new hospital will also be home to the Paediatric Outpatient Unit, and the Paediatric Audiology and Child Development Services. Huge thanks to everyone who is supporting our campaign to raise $10 million to outfit and equip the interior of the new hospital. All money raised will be used for furniture and fittings, and all the medical, clinical, patient, family, play and education spaces, for state of the art medical equipment, for a therapeutic gym, for dedicated audiometry suites and for all the high spec digital and creative aspects of the new hospital – which will be brought together with a touch of Weta magic! Not only will this building be a fantastic new asset to our region, but it will also ensure a brighter future for the thousands of sick babies, children and young people treated from across our region every year.
