As a part of ‘Neonatal November’ the Foundation team also celebrates ‘World Prematurity Day’ today. We have a strong relationship with the incredible NICU team, and for many years we have been able to provide medical equipment and care items that help precious prem babies and their families.
With our community’s generous donations we have funded multiple Giraffe Omnibed Carestation Incubators, tiny stretch and grows, pulse oximeters, reflux monitoring systems, critical cooling system, a cerebral BRAINZ monitor; and medical research projects into this field. This is just a small sample of how our kind donors wrap around our hospital’s tiniest patients.
Our team of volunteer knitters and sewers also craft beautiful knitwear, mini merino sleeping bags and Christmas and Mother’s Day quilts for these families.
