It was with great sadness that we learned of the recent passing of Grant Corleison.
A good friend and colleague, Grant was an instrumental partner in the important work that has been done over recent years to build a new hospital for the children of our region and beyond. In fact, Grant was there before day one in that he was part of the initial discussion with the Wellington Hospitals Foundation that led to Mark Dunajtschik agreeing to build and donate our new children’s hospital.
We had the pleasure of working very closely with Grant on this once in a life time project over the past four years, and we know just how committed he was to the new hospital and to seeing it completed to the highest standard.
Capital & Coast DHB, Hutt Valley DHB, and the Wellington Hospitals Foundation are very saddened that Grant will not be there for the hospital’s opening – however we will be thinking of him, and he will be in our hearts. Grant will be remembered as someone who helped to improve the health of children across greater Wellington. Our sincerest condolences go out to Grant’s family, friends, and loved ones.
Mark Dunajtschik, Bill Day and Grant Corleison visit the new children’s hospital site as the first foundations are laid.
