The busy Emergency Department can at times be a stressful and scary place for sick kids and their worried whānau.
With our community’s generous support the Foundation was delighted to be able to fund two portable TVs with a subscription to Disney+ for families who unexpectedly find themselves in ED.
After the arrival of the first television, staff told us, “There was much joy on the floor and the TV has become a hot commodity in the Wahi Tamaraiki/ Paediatric zone, and families are amazed that we have access to such great entertainment.”
We are pleased to be able to make our patient’s experience in hospital a little more comfortable at an otherwise incredibly stressful time.
