This morning marked the official opening of Wellington region’s new Child Heath Service and hospital – Te Wao Nui in the Mark Dunatjschik and Dorothy Spotswood Building. We were delighted to share this event with our incredible benefactors Mark and Dorothy, as well as Dame Cindy Kiro, Ministers Little and Robertson, and many key donors and invited guests.
It was also lovely to have two special young people, Tamsin and Markus, who are very familiar with the children’s hospital, join us on this special day.
We’d also like to extend our thanks to the Iwi-Maori Partnership Board and Mana Whenua, for making the Dawn Blessing and official ceremonies such a special and moving event. And huge thanks to the talented rangatahi from Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Ngā Mokopuna School for their outstanding performance.
Join us tomorrow for a public open day between 11-3pm
