Happy Birthday to us! This month marks 18 years since Wellington Hospitals Foundation was established as the official charity and volunteer service for the hospitals served by Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district. This includes Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru and Hutt Hospitals, Te Wao Nui Child Health Service, Kapiti Health Centre and the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service.
Since 2005 we’ve funded more than $160 million in essential medical equipment, technology and other items that improve healthcare for patients and their families across our region. And every year our amazing volunteers provide more than 50,000 hours of assistance to patients and visitors to our hospitals.
It is a great privilege to partner with both our hospitals and our community to serve the needs of patients and their whānau.
