Wellington Hospitals Foundation, official charity for Wellington’s Te Wao Nui, was again delighted to be selected alongside another very worthy charity, for the Celebrate Wellington Gala Ball and Charity Auction, to open this month’s Eat Drink Play Festival in Wellington.
This was a spectacular evening – a fabulous fusion of fine wine, dining, high fashion, art and live entertainment. Grateful thanks to all the sponsors and to everyone who donated on the night. Huge thanks also to the fantastic team at Hospitality New Zealand for organising such a stunning red carpet event.
Funds raised will be put towards a new hi-tech incubator. Often premature and high-needs babies who are well enough to leave the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), still require treatment in hospital. For some infants this may mean help to regulate their body temperature, while many other newborns also commonly suffer from jaundice, which in severe cases if left untreated can cause deafness or brain damage. We are proud to partner with Hospitality New Zealand to fund this essential piece of medical equipment.
