Check out these happy faces and caring kids! The Shine Montessori whanau have very kindly donated a selection of new books and colouring sets to kids spending time in Te Wao Nui Children’s Hospital this Christmas. Megan Jenkins, the teacher behind initiative, shared that it was a brilliant way to teach their tamariki about the challenges some children face during the festive season.
The kids expressed it best:
“These are for children in the hospital. It will make them happy because they sick”
“We are taking a photo of our books for the doctors. It will make them happy”
“Because the sick children are at the hospital. It will make them feel better”
