Many of you may recognise Lita, one of our hospital gift shop’s lovely co-managers. What you may not know is that Lita is also a talented and prolific knitter, crafting many beautiful items for our hospital’s youngest patients.
Lita told us that she finds knitting relaxing and enjoys puzzling out new patterns as it ‘helps keeps her brain active’. If like Lita, you’re pretty handy with a pair of knitting needles or a sewing machine, and would enjoy knitting, quilting or sewing for our hospitals, we’d love to hear from you. Our volunteer teams create a variety of items for the Delivery Suites, Neonatal Unit and District Nursing team, as well as our hospitals charity gift shop that raises funds for much needed hospital projects.
