We were thrilled to be presented with a donation of $10,000 from Johnsonville Lions Club to fund two new hi-tech electric beds in the new children’s hospital. Huge thanks to the caring kids and staff training at the World Marudao Karate dojo who have kindly gifted Christmas presents to children spending time in hospital over the Christmas period.  This is an annual tradition for the dojo legends, and sadly this year Covid meant that they were unable to make their annual walk… Read more »

We are very fortunate to meet incredible young people like 16 year old student Charlotte who recently spent 99 days in hospital. She became known on the ward as “The Butterfly Girl” because of the many butterflies scattered across her room. Grateful thanks to all the booksellers, families and businesses who supported Kiwi Christmas Books and donated new books to Wellington Regional Children’s Hospital this Christmas. Sophie (pictured here with WHF Grants Manager Shona Brunton), works as a nurse in our hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and surprised us this morning with this incredible Hospi Christmas wreath for the Foundation office!!
