1x ball 4 ply 100% merino or soft baby wool
3.25cm or 3.75cm needles.
Start with your choice of needles & cast on 90 sts
Row 1. (K2, P2) to last 2 sts, K2
Row 2. (P2, K2) to last 2 sts, P2
Continue these 2 rows till beanie measures 15 cm.
Finish with a Row 2.
Crown decrease
Row 1. (K2 tog, P2) to last 2 sts, K2 tog. (67 sts)
Row 2. P1, (K2, P1) to end
Row 3. (K1, P2) to last st. K1
Row 4. P1,(K2, P1) to end
Row 5. (K1, P2tog) to last st, K1. (45 sts)
Row 6. (P1, K1) to last st, P1
Row 7. K1, (K2 tog, P2 tog) to end. (23 sts)
Row 8. (K1, P1) to last st, K1
Row 9. (K2 tog, P2 tog) to last 3 st, K2 tog, P1. (12 sts)
Row 10. (K1, P1) to end
Pass wool through remaining stitch loops to tie off.
Sew up with flat seam, remembering to sew on correct side for brim turn up.
