Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation has been a strong supporter of children's healthcare in our region for many years.
In 2021, we were excited to formalise our first multi-year partnership to improve care across the Child Health Service, which was renewed for a further three years. In addition to their generous financial support, Buddle Findlay provides invaluable pro-bono legal services, which are invaluable for a small charity like ours.
The partnership has had a lasting impact on our region’s youngest and most vulnerable patients. It has equipped teams across our paediatric services with:
- A state of the art surgical microscope for the Paediatric ENT Service
- Specialised breastfeeding chairs in NICU to support mothers and their pēpē
- A phototherapy system to treat jaundice in newborns
- BuzzyBee4Shots units to help reduce pain and anxiety during medical procedures
- A high-definition paediatric gastroscope that enhances the safety and precision of diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal conditions in children.
The surgical microscope is a critical piece of equipment that we use frequently in our outpatient clinic. We are enormously grateful to have it as it has enabled us to run dedicated paediatric ENT clinics in our new children’s hospital. - Dr Katherine Baguley, Otolaryngologist & ENT Surgeon
We are incredibly grateful to Buddle Findlay Child Health Foundation for their generosity and shared commitment to making great public hospital care, even better. Their partnership continues to make a lasting difference - one child at a time.
The Foundation's focus and achievements over 20 years are really impressive and Buddle Findlay continues to be delighted to be able to work with you to achieve its objectives. Long may the relationship last! - Phillip Maitland, Managing Director, Buddle Findlay
