At Wellington Hospitals Foundation, we’re committed to supporting our region’s hospitals in ways that truly transform patient care and hospital environments. Through strategic partnerships, fundraising efforts and community support, we’ve been able to fund a variety of transformational projects that directly impact the quality of healthcare in our region.
From state of the art medical equipment to cutting edge technology, our work ensures that patients at Wellington, Kenepuru and Hutt Hospitals receive the best possible care, with the latest innovations in healthcare at their fingertips.
One of our most significant projects has been the establishment of Te Wao Nui Children’s Hospital, which has transformed the way children receive care in our region, and beyond. The hospital offers a warm, welcoming environment for tamariki and their families, with many paediatric services now under one roof.
In addition, we’ve funded lifesaving equipment such as neonatal transport incubators, ensuring that our tiniest and most vulnerable patients are given the best chance at survival during critical transport.
These are just a few examples of the many projects we’ve supported, all made possible by the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners. Through these initiatives, we are not only improving the immediate care our patients receive, but we’re also helping to build a healthier, stronger future for our region.
